Yesterday we decided to have a drive out and ended up at Hemswell Market
I haven’t been there in years and as Dave had never been i thought it would be a nice change. Its on an old RAF base and a lot of the stalls are in the old hangers. You could buy anything from fresh meat at the auctions to chew sticks for the dogs.
While wandering around we saw plenty of “different” things been sold on the carboot sale.. rusty old tools, knitted dog coats, old butchers bikes, and my favourite old books.. I love books so had a good old rummage and came home with 6 in very good condition.
Also mingled in between the market and the carboot section was a pet rescue section where they had owls and hawks on show. I purchased a couple of books off them too as the money helped look after the birds and i love animals.
All in all we had a wonderful time looking around and feeling the wind in our hair.
