What a wonderful day I’ve had today
The postman arrived with something I’d ordered online last Friday..A pink car care kit! It contains a pink fold up bucket…..a pink chamois leather.. A pink sponge… a pink duster and a pink wash mitt. I bought myself a pink tool kit a couple of years ago and love it so thought I’d treat myself and my car to this little gem.
At lunchtime I met an old school friend, Jenny. We met at school in 1977 and suffered the bullies together for the 3 years we attended. I met up with her by chance a couple of years ago but with one thing and another we never met up since.. That is until today.. It was as if we’d never been apart.. We laughed and chatted constantly.
Jenny & Kerry
Jenny’s daughter came too and it was good to finally meet her. Kerry is having driving lessons so we chatted about cars and her lessons and I made her laugh about some of my driving lessons.
After lunch we had a little saunter around town, went into bookshops and cheapy shops and also into a pet shop were I needed some chews for Molly & Bertie.
While in there I noticed Jenny with her arms full of round things. It turned out they were balls made of fat for her garden birds, they love them.
She suddenly said “ I love big fat balls, they last longer”!! That did it, complete chaos as we all laughed so loud.
Me & Jenny
We all have the same sense of humour and even giggled so loudly on the bus home.
It isn’t going to be another 2 years before I see Jenny and Kerry again, they both brightened up my day and I can’t wait to meet up with them again.
Also, they say things come in 3's and when i logged on to here i found that i've received an award from Audrey
I'm so touched, you just don't realise. THANK YOU xx
